Perfectionism is Not who you are, it is a behavior!
Perfectionism is a personality style that comes with critical self-evaluation and concerns regarding other people's evaluations. It is defined as the refusal to accept any standard short of perfection.

Perfectionism should not be attached to our identity. When you say "I am a perfectionist" it becomes a part of who you are. However, when you say I have perfectionistic behaviors then you are in a better position to change. It is more difficult to change who you are than it is to change behaviors.
Perfectionistic behaviors produce self-defeating thoughts that disturbs your creativity. This can make it difficult to achieve your goals. This behavior can also cause mental issues such as depression, anxiety, and stress.
You don't have to be perfect to believe in what you stand for! You don't have to be perfect to stand for what you believe in! Believe it or not, your imperfections make you more valuable because it is in your imperfections that you are made perfect!
