Tip 4: Watch your self-talk

The conversations you have with yourself are essential to changing your perfectionistic behaviors. Negative self-talk is one of the most powerful obstacles to grow through on this journey. Self-talk is done naturally and is internal conversations with yourself. Negative self-talk limits your ability to believe in yourself and your own abilities. Positive self-talk encourages you. It helps you pick yourself up when you fall/fail (you will fall/fail) and increases your self-confidence.

When you find yourself moving in that direction with your personal conversations, develop positive affirmations to help retrain yourself and your words. Words are powerful. The power of life and death is in your tongue so watch your self-talk. Here are a couple morning affirmations to help get you started....

"I am a powerful creator"!

"I let go of any negative feelings about myself or my my life, and accept all that is good"!
